Unity Day FAQs
What is Unity Day?
Unity Day is Northern California Crystal Meth Anonymous’ annual one-day convention. It brings together members and friends of CMA for workshops, speaker meetings, fellowship, and service. It is also where the District/Intergroup Annual Meeting and Elections take place.
Is Unity Day free?
No. Each individual ticket/registration is $20. Ticket sales help cover event costs and support future Unity Days. However, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
If I volunteer, can I get into the conference for free?
No. Volunteering is a service opportunity, but tickets still need to be purchased.
Who is Unity Day for?
Unity Day is for anyone who wishes to learn more about the fellowship, the program and the Twelve Steps of Crystal Meth Anonymous. All are welcome.
What happens at Unity Day?
Unity Day includes speaker meetings, workshops, fellowship, entertainment, and service opportunities. Immediately following the conclusion of Unity Day, NorCal CMA will hold our Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting is free to attend and does not require registration to participate.
I plan on driving to Unity Day, where can I park?
There will be 15 available parking spaces reserved for attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. We have set-up a Meeting Crashers page to coordinate carpooling to Unity Day here: https://meetingcrasher.org/events/69084459-c4e3-47b0-9cc6-4f3340595b7d

Can I bring my dog, cat, bird, or other animal?
Our insurance does not allow for any animals other than tagged and registered service animals. This does not include emotional support animals. Please leave your pets at home.
Can I bring my child with me?
For parents with young children, please email the Unity Day chair at unitydaychair@norcalcma.org for specific questions.
What is Crystal Meth Anonymous (CMA)?
CMA is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope to help each other recover from crystal meth addiction. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using.
What happens at a CMA meeting?
Meetings vary in format, but you’ll always hear recovering addicts share how crystal meth affected their lives, how they got clean, and how they live in recovery today.
Do I have to identify myself as an addict to attend?
No. Anyone may attend an open meeting, and it is up to each individual to determine whether they are an addict.
How much clean time do I need to attend Unity Day?
None. Whether you’re new to recovery, have years of clean time, or are simply curious, you are welcome.
Can family and friends attend?
Yes. Family, friends, and professionals are welcome, especially at Unity Day, which is designed to share the message of recovery widely. All attendees must register.
Why is it called Unity Day?
Unity is one of the guiding principles of CMA. Unity Day is a chance for members and supporters across Northern California to come together, strengthen our fellowship, and celebrate recovery.
